The Kicker KMTC11 is a pair of 11-inch horn-loaded coaxial tower speakers built to carry sound across open water. A titanium-dome compression driver mounted in a one-inch horn handles high frequencies with far more efficiency than a standard tweeter, which is what lets these reach a rider at the end of a tow rope without the harsh glare horn systems are known for. The 11-inch woofer uses a stitched polypropylene cone with a Santoprene surround on a UV-resistant polymer basket, and the crossover splits at 2.5 kHz with 12 dB slopes. Each speaker handles 600W peak and 300W RMS at 4 ohms across a 20 Hz to 20 kHz range. Aiming is toolless: the cans rotate a full 359 degrees and lock with a cam and toggle system, and the stainless steel and ABS clamp fits 1.5 to 3.25-inch tubing. Wiring runs through the clamp with a mating socket, and a single bolt removes the speaker for service. Seven-color LED grilles and 316L stainless hardware are included, and the speakers meet or exceed ASTM standards for UV and salt/fog exposure.
