The Kicker 44VL7S122 pairs a Solo-Baric L7S 12-inch square subwoofer with a ported MDF enclosure and a single 2-ohm terminal, so one amplifier run gets you 1500W peak and 750W RMS of output with no design work. The square L7S cone carries more surface area than a round 12 in the same cutout, and the custom terminal and port combination is tuned to the woofer rather than approximated, which is where most generic prefab boxes give up output. Thick, solid wood construction with heavy internal bracing keeps the walls from flexing at high power. Frequency response runs 20 to 500 Hz at 86.9 dB sensitivity. The box measures 18-3/4 inches wide by 16 inches tall with a 14-3/4-inch top depth and 17-7/8-inch bottom depth, an angled shape that fits against a trunk wall or SUV seat back.
