The KICKER L7R 10-inch Solo-Baric square subwoofer moves more air than a round sub of the same size, so you get more bass out of every watt. KICKER invented the square sub, and the shape is the whole point: more cone area inside the same mounting diameter, without needing a larger enclosure.

Power handling is 500 W RMS and 1000 W peak with dual 4-ohm voice coils, giving you wiring options for one sub or a pair on a single monoblock amp. Sensitivity is 85.9 dB.

The build backs up the power. An injection-molded SoloKon cone with patented ribbed corners keeps the square shape rigid at high excursion, 360-degree back bracing ties the cone to the motor, and the UniPlate back plate and pole piece pull heat away from the coil. A stamped steel basket with a spoke design, bumped back plate, thick tinsel leads, and a large ceramic magnet handle long sessions at volume. Nickel-plated terminals and wrap-around gasketing finish it off.

Mounting depth is 6.13 inches with a 9.31 inch cutout. Sealed boxes from 0.66 to 1.0 cubic feet give tight, controlled bass, while vented boxes from 1.25 to 2.25 cubic feet trade some control for more output.
