The KICKER KSMT2504 is a pair of dual-pod speakers for dash, A-pillar, or kick panel mounting, built for vehicles that have no good factory speaker location. Each pod holds a 2.5-inch aluminum-cone midrange and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter in a purpose-built, tuned enclosure, so the sound is shaped by the pod rather than by whatever cavity you mount it in.

A ball-joint positioning system holds each pod where you aim it, and the tweeter pod adjusts independently of the midrange. That means you can point the highs at the listening position instead of at the windshield, which is what pulls the stereo image up onto the dash where it belongs.

Crossover work is handled on board. An 18dB slope shapes and protects the tweeter while the midrange runs through a dedicated 6dB bandpass, so tonality stays accurate and natural without the harshness that comes from running small drivers wide open.

Lightweight neodymium magnets keep each pod compact enough to sit on a dash without dominating it. Frequency response runs 40 Hz to 20 kHz at a 4-ohm nominal impedance, and the pair works best with 15 to 50W RMS per channel, which is within reach of a decent head unit or any small amplifier.
