The KICKER CompRT 8-inch subwoofer is a shallow-mount sub for vehicles where depth is the limiting factor. At 2-11/16 in of mounting depth, it fits under a seat, behind a back bench, or in a factory sub location that a standard woofer will never clear. Dual 4-ohm voice coils give you wiring options and handle 300W RMS, with 600W peak power and 81.8 dB sensitivity at 1W/1m.

A UV-resistant cone and surround hold up in open cabs and vehicles that sit in direct sun. Signature red double stitching bonds the Santoprene surround to the polypropylene cone so the joint survives full excursion in a shallow frame. SoloKon technology joins the cone to a vented back brace, creating one integrated unit that cools the motor and holds distortion down. An advanced suspension and heat management system keeps the bass deep and consistent as output climbs. Forced-Air Cooling runs the sub about 20 percent cooler than the previous generation.

The CompRT 8 works best in a sealed enclosure between 0.2 and 1.0 cu ft, which is a realistic box size for a truck cab, an SUV cargo floor, or a spare-tire well. Specs for a 0.8 to 1.2 cu ft ported box are listed if you would rather trade some control for output. The cutout is 7 in, so the footprint stays reasonable even where the depth is not.
