The KMXL8 is the largest speaker in the series, and the 8" cone is what separates it. Response reaches down to 60Hz and peak handling climbs to 500W, with 15 to 250W RMS recommended. On a boat with no subwoofer, that lower reach is the difference between music that sounds full and music that sounds thin over open water.

The proprietary high-frequency horn design keeps output clear at high volume, which is the point of a compression speaker in this environment. Sensitivity of 93dB means the pair converts amplifier power into output efficiently, so a mid-power marine amp keeps up.

Each speaker uses a UV-treated, waterproof poly/carbon-fiber woofer cone, a 1-1/4" aluminum-dome tweeter and lightweight neodymium magnets for high output at low weight. Rated impedance is 4 ohms. IP66 certification covers dust and direct water jets.

Mounting depth is 3-11/16" with a 6-5/8" hole diameter, shallow enough for traditional 8" cutouts. Integrated multi-color LED lighting works with the KMLC LED remote, and both white and charcoal grilles are included. These also install in KM-Series empty enclosures for tower pods and surface-mount builds on wake boats and pontoons.
