This is the 8-ohm build of the 9-inch ST-Series square mid-range, made for systems that run several pairs at once. With an 8-ohm load per speaker you can parallel multiple pairs on a single amplifier channel and still present an impedance the amplifier is happy to see, which is the standard approach in wall builds and multi-mid demo vehicles. The performance matches the 4-ohm model: a square cone with nearly 20 percent more radiating area than a round 9, 50 to 300 watts RMS per speaker, 600 watts peak, 94 dB sensitivity and 80 Hz to 5.5 kHz response tuned for vocal body and midbass punch. Cone material is pressed pulp with a treated cloth surround for control at high excursion, and spring-loaded terminals accept 12 AWG wire. Mounting depth is 3-9/16 inches behind a 7-13/16-inch square cutout, and a template is included for accurate fabrication. Pick this version when the build calls for a bank of mids and impedance math is doing the deciding.
