The KMC4 turns a 3-inch gauge hole into a full entertainment hub. It packs four channels of built-in power (up to 160 W total), an AM/FM tuner with weather band, Bluetooth audio, a charging USB input with USB stick playback, and an AUX RCA input, all behind a sunlight-viewable 3-inch full-color LCD.

Hands-free calling is covered by the included external microphone and hardware, so you can take a call without killing the music or digging out a phone at the helm.

System expansion is where the KMC4 separates itself from a basic marine head unit. Four sets of RCA outputs cover front, rear, subwoofer, and zone 2 at 4 volts, so you can amplify the cockpit, add a second listening zone at the swim platform, and run a subwoofer without a converter or splitter.

Control is built for boat use: a rotary encoder for track and volume, day/night display modes, loudness, a customizable EQ with five presets, up to 10 favorites each for AM and FM, low battery alert, and compatibility with the wired KRC12 remote. The full-color display shows artist, album art, track, and title data.

The housing is IP66 rated. Mounting takes a 2.99-inch hole with 4.7 inches of depth for wiring, and the trim ring measures 3-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches with 0.8 inch of protrusion.
