Product Description

The MSC84 is a pair of 8-inch coaxial marine speakers for boat owners who want more low end and more output than a 6-1/2-inch set can deliver. Each speaker combines a carbon-fiber-infused midrange woofer with a 28mm Tetoron dome tweeter behind an internal 12dB/octave Butterworth crossover. The larger cone pushes response down to 45Hz and sensitivity up to 90.5dB, so the pair fills a deck with sound before a subwoofer ever enters the picture. Rated impedance is 4 Ohms, recommended power is 15 to 200W RMS, and peak handling is 400W, which leaves room for a proper marine amplifier.

Everything about the build assumes water. KICKER Real Marine design covers marine-compliant terminals, splash-and-spray resistance, and UV-resistant materials, so the speakers keep working through rain, washdowns, and full days in the sun. Glass-added nylon woofer baskets handle heat and rough treatment far better than stamped steel in a marine environment.

Mounting needs a 6-9/16-inch hole with 3-1/2 inches of depth behind the panel, so check clearance in tight cabin walls before ordering. RGBW LED lighting is built into each speaker for night runs, and both white and charcoal grilles come in the box so the pair matches the interior without a second purchase. Common placements include pontoon side panels, deck boat cockpits, wakeboard tower pods, and covered outdoor bars and patios where the hardware stays mounted year-round.

Features

    • More Low End Without A Sub

The 8-inch carbon-fiber-infused woofer reaches down to 45Hz, so music keeps its weight on an open deck where smaller speakers thin out.

    • Loud Where It Counts

90.5dB sensitivity and 200W RMS handling per speaker mean the pair stays clear at cruising speed with wind and engine noise working against it.

    • Built For Salt And Sun

Real Marine construction adds marine-compliant terminals, splash-and-spray resistance, and UV-resistant materials, so the speakers survive seasons of exposure instead of fading and corroding.

    • Color For Night Sessions

Integrated RGBW LED lighting ties into a marine lighting controller, adding usable glow at the dock and after sunset without a separate accessory light kit.

    • Match Any Interior

Both white and charcoal grilles ship in the box, so the pair blends into a light or dark cockpit without ordering a second grille set.
