The MSS65 is a 6-1/2-inch marine component system: separate woofers and 28mm Tetoron dome tweeters, so you can place the high frequencies where they actually reach your ears instead of down at knee level. That single change lifts the soundstage in a boat cockpit, where seating rarely lines up with factory speaker locations. Carbon-fiber-infused woofers keep the midrange accurate, and internal 12dB/octave Butterworth crossovers protect the tweeters while keeping the handoff clean.

Rated impedance is 4 Ohms, recommended power is 15 to 100W RMS per channel, and peak handling is 200W. Sensitivity of 89dB and 55Hz-25kHz response make the system a solid full-range front stage on its own, and an easy match with a marine subwoofer later.

Everything is built for exposure. KICKER Real Marine design covers marine-compliant terminals, splash-and-spray resistance, and UV-resistant materials, and glass-added nylon woofer baskets handle heat and abuse better than stamped steel. Woofers mount in a 5-7/16-inch hole with 3-1/4 inches of depth; flush-mount tweeters need a 2-inch hole with 2-1/8 inches of depth, so plan tweeter locations on the dash, A-pillar, or upper cabin panel before cutting.

RGBW LED lighting is built in for night use, and both white and charcoal grilles are included so the install matches the interior. This system suits center-console dashes, pontoon helms, wake boat cockpits, and any build where speaker placement, not power, is the limiting factor.
