Product Description

The CompVR 10-inch subwoofer is the workhorse of the KICKER round subwoofer lineup: enough output to matter, built for a system that gets used every day rather than measured once at a competition. It handles 180-375W RMS with 750W peak and 83.6dB sensitivity.

The 2-Ohm dual voice coil version wires down to a 1-Ohm load with the coils in parallel, which is how you get maximum rated output from a mono amplifier that is 1-Ohm stable.

A stiff polypropylene cone sits on a powerful motor with dual high-temperature voice coils, a combination built to take continuous power without thermal fade. Perimeter venting keeps air moving around the motor, so the voice coils shed heat instead of compressing on long, loud sessions.

This sub needs a sealed or ported enclosure to perform. Sealed volumes run 0.8-3 cu ft (22.7-85 L) for tight, controlled bass that stays accurate with rock and acoustic material. Ported volumes run 1.25-1.75 cu ft (35.4-49.6 L) and trade some control for output, which suits hip-hop and electronic music that lives in the bottom octave. Mounting takes a 9-3/16" (23.3 cm) cutout with 5-1/2" (14 cm) of depth, so measure the space behind the panel before ordering.

Good fits include a trunk build in a sedan, a behind-seat box in a truck, a cargo-area enclosure in an SUV, or a first subwoofer for someone upgrading past factory audio.

Features

    • Wired For Maximum Output

Dual 2-Ohm voice coils parallel down to a 1-Ohm load, letting a 1-Ohm stable mono amplifier deliver its full rated power to the woofer.

    • Power It Every Day

Rated for 180-375W RMS with 750W peak handling, the motor and dual high-temp voice coils take continuous power without the thermal fade cheap subs show.

    • Cool Under Long Sessions

Perimeter venting moves air around the motor so the dual high-temp voice coils shed heat, holding output steady instead of fading on a long trip.

    • Choose Your Bass Character

Sealed enclosures from 0.8-3 cu ft (22.7-85 L) keep bass tight and accurate, while ported volumes from 1.25-1.75 cu ft (35.4-49.6 L) trade control for output in the bottom octave.

    • Plan The Install First

A 9-3/16" (23.3 cm) cutout with 5-1/2" (14 cm) of mounting depth tells you up front whether the trunk, truck cab, or cargo area has the room.
