Product Description

The CompVT 12-inch subwoofer solves a specific problem: you want real bass, and you do not have real depth to work with. At just 4-3/8" of mounting depth, it fits behind a truck seat, under a rear bench, or in a shallow trunk enclosure where a standard 12-inch woofer will not clear. It handles 225-450W RMS with 900W peak and 87.1dB sensitivity.

The engineering behind the slim profile is a proprietary four-layer voice coil working with SoloKon cone technology. The four-layer coil packs more winding into less height, so the sub takes serious power without the motor bulk of a conventional design, and the SoloKon cone resists flex under that power instead of deforming and adding distortion.

The 2-Ohm single voice coil version presents an easy load for a mono amplifier and keeps wiring simple: two terminals, one run of wire, no coil math.

A sealed or ported enclosure is required. Sealed volumes run 1-4.6 cu ft (27.9-130 L) for tight, accurate bass; ported volumes run 1.75-2.25 cu ft (49.6-63.7 L) for more output in the bottom octave. Mounting takes a 11" (28.1 cm) cutout.

This is the sub for extended-cab and crew-cab trucks, low-profile trunk builds, SUV side panels, and any install where cargo space or seat clearance sets the limit instead of budget.

Features

    • Bass Where Depth Runs Out

Only 4-3/8" of mounting depth means this 12-inch woofer fits behind a truck seat or in a shallow trunk box that rejects a standard subwoofer.

    • Power Handling Without Bulk

A proprietary four-layer voice coil packs more winding into less height, so the sub takes 225-450W RMS despite a motor built for tight spaces.

    • A Cone That Stays Composed

SoloKon cone technology resists flex under heavy power, keeping bass defined at the excursion levels a shallow woofer reaches quickly.

    • Simple, Low-Impedance Wiring

A single 2-Ohm voice coil pulls more power from a mono amplifier than a 4-Ohm coil while keeping the install down to one run of speaker wire.

    • Tight Or Loud, Your Call

Sealed volumes from 1-4.6 cu ft (27.9-130 L) keep bass controlled, while ported volumes from 1.75-2.25 cu ft (49.6-63.7 L) push more output in the lowest octave.
