Product Description

The Kicker 52VCVR122 mounts a 12-inch CompVR subwoofer in a factory-tuned vented enclosure, so the box, the port and the sub are already matched when it arrives. The front-facing port is tuned to 38 Hz and raises acoustic efficiency, which is why the sub reaches 95 dB sensitivity (1W/1m) and plays loud on 225 to 450 W RMS, with 900 W peak in reserve.

Forced-Air Cooling moves air across the voice coil while the sub works, so heat leaves the motor instead of compressing output during a long trip at volume. The cabinet is thick MDF wrapped in heavy black carpet, a finish that hides scuffs from luggage and holds up in a cargo area.

The wedge shape measures 23-1/16 in wide and 15-15/16 in tall, with depth going from 11-1/4 in at the top to 14-1/2 in at the bottom, so it sits flush against a trunk wall or the back of an SUV cargo bay and leaves usable space above it. A single 2-ohm terminal cup means one pair of leads from a mono amplifier and no wiring math.

This is the middle ground between a shallow sealed box and a dual setup: real port output for SUVs, hatchbacks and car trunks, in a footprint one person can carry and install.

Features

    • Matched Box And Sub

The subwoofer arrives mounted in a factory-tuned enclosure, so port volume and subwoofer are already paired and the install skips box design entirely.

    • Loud On Modest Power

A 38 Hz tuned port and 95 dB sensitivity mean strong output from 225 to 450 W RMS, so a mid-size mono amplifier is enough.

    • Steady Output At Volume

Forced-Air Cooling moves air across the voice coil while the sub plays, keeping heat down so bass holds its level through long sessions.

    • Wedge Shape For Real Trunks

At 23-1/16 in wide and 15-15/16 in tall, the tapered cabinet sits flat against a trunk wall and leaves usable cargo space above it.

    • One-Pair Amplifier Hookup

The single 2-ohm terminal cup takes one set of speaker leads from a mono amp, with no series-parallel wiring to work out first.
