The Metra 70-1817 covers two decades of Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Jeep in a single part number: Ram pickups, Dakota, Durango, Caravan and Voyager minivans, Neon, Intrepid, Stratus, Sebring, Town & Country, PT Cruiser, TJ Wrangler, XJ Cherokee and ZJ/WJ Grand Cherokee. It plugs into the factory radio connector and terminates in color-coded leads matched to standard aftermarket radio wiring, so a new receiver connects by color instead of a session with a wiring diagram. The vehicle harness stays intact, so the truck can go back to its original radio at any point. Seven-inch pre-stripped leads give you slack to crimp or solder solid joints outside the dash and then pack them back behind the radio. Flexible GXSL wire carries the power a modern head unit sends to four speakers, and hand-assembled pressure-sensitive terminals hold their seat through the vibration a Wrangler or Ram delivers.
