The Metra 99-9005B is a black water-resistant radio cover that protects a marine receiver from spray, rain, and salt air. It also lets you install a standard car stereo in a boat, since the cover shields the faceplate from the conditions that kill an unprotected head unit. The Accu-view tinted cover keeps the display readable while closed, and a positive spring-loaded detent lock holds it shut when the boat is underway. Heavy-duty low-friction hinges are built for repeated use, and dual spring support holds the cover open while you change tracks or volume. Inside dimensions accept single- and double-DIN receivers, with a sleeve opening 7.17 in wide by 2.08 in high and up to 2.36 in of trim ring height.
