Product Description

The S6510-44 is a 10" square subwoofer from the MTX S65 Series, built for high output in sealed or vented enclosures. Its square frame puts more cone area in the same mounting footprint than a round 10", and patented corner surround geometry increases Xmax for 45.65 cubic inches of volume displacement. More air moved means more SPL from the same amplifier power. Power handling is 500W RMS and 1000W peak, with dual 4-ohm voice coils that give you wiring options: 8 ohms in series or 2 ohms in parallel from a single sub, or a 1-ohm load with a pair. Recommended amplifier power is 250 to 500W RMS, and response runs from 26Hz to 130Hz. Thermal control comes from two directions. Spider Plateau Venting uses cone movement to push cool air at the voice coil, and a radial ribbed t-yoke pulls heat away through the back plate, so long sessions at high volume stay reliable. Progressive suspension holds excursion in check at high power, which keeps distortion down. Mounting depth is 6.625" with a 9.313" cutout.
