Launchkey 37 MK4

Launchkey 37 MK4 is an all-in-one DAW controller with three octaves of full-size, synth-action keys and 16 patented FSR pads. The extra octave over the 25-key model leaves room for bass and chords in the same take, and the control surface covers clip launching, mixing, device parameters, and transport from the hardware.

DAW support is built in for Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason Studios, Reaper, FL Studio, and Ardour, with no setup needed for transport, timeline movement, mixing and EQ, clip launching, and device control. In Ableton Live Session View or Logic Live Loops, the 16 pads work as Launchpad-style clip launchers with RGB backlights that match the screen. Eight encoders handle mixer levels, plugin parameters, and effects.

The FSR pads use a radial sensor per pad for higher sensitivity and steadier response, and they read polyphonic aftertouch, so pressure applied after the hit becomes a modulation source. Pads can also be set to trigger chords or single notes.

Creative tools run on the hardware itself, so they behave the same in a DAW, with hardware synths, or on a phone or tablet. Scale Mode locks the keys to one of 30 scales or to white keys only, Fixed Chord triggers a full chord from one key, and Chord Maps lay progressions across the pads. The arpeggiator twists and mutates sequences, and Chord Detector names what you are playing on the OLED display.

A full-size 5-pin MIDI output connects hardware synths with no computer required, and Custom Modes store four pad and four encoder mappings from Novation Components. Ableton Live 12 Lite, GForce synth emulations, Orchestral Tools, Klevgrand, and Melodics lessons are included.
