Launchkey Mini 37 MK4

Launchkey Mini 37 MK4 is a portable, all-in-one DAW controller with three octaves of synth-action mini-keys and 16 patented FSR pads for finger drumming and clip launching. The extra octave over the 25-key version gives you room for bass and chords together while keeping a travel-friendly footprint.

DAW support is built in for Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason Studios, Reaper, FL Studio, and Ardour, covering transport, timeline movement, mixing and EQ, clip launching, and device parameters with no setup. In Ableton Live Session View or Logic Live Loops, the 16 pads work as Launchpad-style clip launchers with RGB backlights that match the screen. Eight encoders handle mixer levels, plugin parameters, and effects.

The FSR pads use a radial sensor per pad for higher sensitivity and steadier response than standard pads, and they read polyphonic aftertouch, so pressure after the hit becomes a modulation source. Pads can also trigger chords or single notes.

Creative tools sit in the hardware, so they behave the same in a DAW, with hardware synths, or on a phone or tablet. Scale Mode locks the keys to one of 30 scales or maps everything to white keys, Fixed Chord triggers a full chord from one key, and Chord Maps place progressions across the pads. The arpeggiator mutates sequences, and Chord Detector names what you play on the OLED display.

A 3.5mm jack MIDI output connects hardware synths through a simple adapter with no computer in the chain, and Custom Modes store four pad and four encoder layouts from Novation Components. The controller is class compliant, so it works with iPhone and iPad apps including the free Novation Launchpad app. Ableton Live 12 Lite, GForce synths, Orchestral Tools, Klevgrand, and Melodics lessons are included.
