ASVSM5-B Metal Pop Filter

The On-Stage ASVSM5-B Pop Blocker sits between the vocalist and the microphone to diffuse the bursts of air that create plosives, the hard P and B sounds that spike a waveform and force a retake. The all-metal 5.38" screen filters pops and hisses without dulling or coloring vocal tone, so takes keep their natural presence and need less corrective editing later.

The 13" flexible gooseneck holds its position once bent, letting you set the exact distance and angle between the screen and the capsule and keep it there through a long tracking session. A C-style clamp with an opening up to 1" attaches the filter to virtually any mic stand shaft or boom without tools, and comes off just as fast when the session ends.

Metal construction is the practical difference here: the screen keeps its shape and tension over years of use instead of sagging or tearing like fabric, and it wipes clean between sessions.
