MSA9800 Telescoping Dual-Mic Boom Arm

The MSA9800 mounts two mics on one stand. Pull off the removable counterweight and a 5/8"-27 threaded end appears on the far side of the boom, so a second mic goes where a second stand used to sit: a stereo pair over a piano, close and room mics on a cabinet, or a host and guest across a table. Extension adjusts from 21.5" to 36", with independent vertical rotation and horizontal swivel up to 320 degrees for angles a straight stand cannot reach. Run it single-mic with the counterweight in place and the boom balances heavy condensers so the arm holds position through a full take. Steel and zinc construction with a solid metal tightening knob keeps angle settings locked under load, and the knob takes repeated adjustment without stripping. Saving a stand also saves floor space, which counts in tight studio live rooms, on club stages, in orchestra pits, and at broadcast desks where cable runs and foot traffic compete for the same square feet. Suited to stereo recording, drum overheads, amp miking, podcast and interview setups, and worship platforms running multiple sources from one position.
