BAMF-122

The BAMF-122 is a 12" car audio subwoofer built to reproduce low bass at high output levels. It handles 1,750W RMS and 3,500W max power through a 3" four-layer voice coil wound on an aluminum former with direct-connect lead wire, and high-temperature adhesives hold the assembly together through long, loud sessions. A vented T-yoke and vented frame move heat away from the coil, and stitched voice coil leads protect the connections from flex damage.

The motor structure is oversized on purpose. A 12mm T-yoke and top plate strengthen low-frequency output, while the non-magnetic, non-resonant die-cast aluminum frame stays quiet instead of adding its own noise. The non-transfer spruce pulp cone carries UV and chemical protection, its extended-excursion polyether foam surround is both stitched and glued at the cone joint, and dual poly-cotton spiders keep the moving assembly centered through violent accelerations.

Dual 2-ohm voice coils give you wiring options: 1 ohm for maximum current from a monoblock amplifier, or 4 ohms for a more conservative load, which also makes multi-subwoofer configurations easier to plan. Power Acoustik lists 1.00 cubic feet for a sealed enclosure and 2.00 cubic feet ported, so the same woofer works for tight, controlled bass in a daily music setup or bigger output in an SPL-focused build. Mounting depth is 6.75", and the one-piece gasket and trim ring with concealed mounting holes finishes a trunk box, wall, or custom fiberglass enclosure cleanly.
