BAMF-154

The BAMF-154 is a 15" car audio subwoofer rated 1,900W RMS and 3,800W max power, built for builds where low-end output matters more than saving space. The extra cone area moves more air than a 12" woofer at the same power, which shows up as deeper, louder bass in larger vehicles and open cargo areas.

A 3" four-layer voice coil on an aluminum former with direct-connect lead wire handles the power, high-temperature adhesives resist thermal failure, and a vented T-yoke and vented frame keep heat from building up in the gap. The motor structure is oversized for more magnetic strength than needed, and a 12mm T-yoke and top plate improve low-frequency dynamics. The non-magnetic, non-resonant die-cast aluminum frame keeps the basket quiet, and efficiency is rated 86.40 at 1W/1M, so it makes good use of the amplifier you pair with it.

The cone assembly is built for hard travel: a non-transfer spruce pulp cone with UV and chemical protection, an extended-excursion polyether foam surround stitched and glued at the joint, and dual poly-cotton spiders that control violent accelerations. Dual 4-ohm coils wire to 2 ohms or 8 ohms, so one woofer can load a 2-ohm-rated monoblock or two can share an amplifier. Power Acoustik lists 2.00 cubic feet sealed and 4.00 cubic feet ported, and mounting depth is 8.00", which suits trunk enclosures, truck-bed boxes, and wall builds. A one-piece gasket and trim ring with concealed mounting holes is included.
