The Eris Studio 8 delivers deep, controlled low frequencies and a wide listening window in a cabinet that still fits a normal studio. An Elliptical Boundary Modeled waveguide shapes high frequencies into 100 degrees of horizontal dispersion, creating a broad sweet spot that works for group listening and client sessions, while narrow vertical dispersion reduces reflections off the desk surface. A 1.25-inch silk-dome tweeter reproduces transients accurately and an 8-inch woven-composite woofer keeps bass tight and punchy rather than loose. A ported enclosure takes response down to 35 Hz, deep enough to hear sub-bass content that smaller monitors simply do not reproduce, and 140W of Class AB bi-amplification reaches 105 dB peak SPL at one meter. Response stays even across the range, and transient detail is sharp. Acoustic Tuning controls handle the room: continuously variable HF and midrange adjustment of plus or minus 6 dB, a three-way Acoustic Space setting of flat, -2 dB, or -4 dB for wall and corner placement, and a highpass filter switchable off, 80 Hz, or 100 Hz. Rear-panel inputs include balanced XLR and 1/4-inch plus unbalanced RCA, so interfaces, consoles, and consumer sources connect directly. An internal power supply with an IEC connector and a power switch with on/off LED keeps the rear panel clean, protection circuitry covers RF interference, output-current limiting, over-temperature, transients, and subsonic content, and an amplifier soft-start feature removes the pop on power-up.
