The NSB 32.16 puts analog I/O for a StudioLive Series III digital mixer wherever the sources are, connected back to the console with one Ethernet cable. Thirty-two locking combo jacks accept microphones on digitally controlled XMAX preamps or line-level devices on balanced 1/4-inch TRS inputs, and sixteen analog outputs plus two stereo AES3 digital outputs handle sends and feeds. Input trim, phantom power, and more are controlled remotely from the console or from UC Surface on a tablet or laptop, so gain changes do not require a trip to the stage. Inputs can be sent to any StudioLive Series III mixer on the network, and gain compensation gives every mixer its own gain control without affecting the front-of-house mix, which is what makes a shared input list workable between monitor and house engineers. The chassis is rugged steel built for touring, with adjustable rack ears that allow flush or recessed mounting and front or rear I/O orientation to match your rack. The standard 3U 19-inch design also fits most universal stage pockets for permanent installations. Physically it measures 19 inches wide, 5.25 inches high, and 5.25 inches deep, and weighs 10.2 lb. Preamps offer 0 dB to +60 dB of gain, 65 dB common mode rejection, and a 94 dB signal-to-noise ratio, with 115 dB of converter dynamic range at 48 kHz. For StudioLive Series III mixers with limited onboard analog I/O, one NSB 32.16 expands the system to a full 32- or 64-channel setup.
