RCM01 + RMF1

Recording in a room without acoustic treatment usually means room reflections color your recordings in ways you don't want. This bundle pairs the RCM01 condenser microphone with the RockShield 3, a five-panel isolation shield that puts 2" of high-density pyramid acoustic foam between the capsule and the room. The shield's vented high-grade steel back plates and foam panels absorb sound that would otherwise bounce off walls and back into the mic, giving you noticeably cleaner results without building a vocal booth.

The RCM01's 25mm electret capsule with cardioid pickup and 18dBA self-noise already reduces off-axis pickup from the sides and rear. Adding the RockShield 3 around it creates a controlled recording zone that works for vocals, voiceover, and acoustic instruments. The shield assembles to 17.5" x 16.1" x 7" and mounts to a standard mic stand or sits on a flat surface. The mic's steel basket and zinc alloy body resist handling vibrations, and a metal shock mount is included for further isolation. Two 10' cables (XLR and 3.5mm-to-XLR), a foam windscreen, and shield mounting hardware complete the package.
