sE2300

The sE2300 is the multi-pattern version of the sE2200, taking the same hand-crafted 1" true condenser capsule and adding selectable cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-8 pickup. One switch changes how the mic hears the room: cardioid for focused vocals, omni for open ensemble and room capture, figure-8 for two performers facing each other or for rejecting sound from the sides.

Behind the capsule sit traditional Class-A electronics, a shorter optimized signal path and a custom-built output transformer. Self-noise measures 9 dB with an 85 dB signal-to-noise ratio, keeping quiet vocal and voiceover takes clean. Switchable -10 and -20 dB pads push max SPL to 145 dB, so a loud guitar cab or brass section is no problem.

Switchable 80 and 160 Hz bass-cut filters handle proximity buildup on close vocals and low-frequency rumble on stage. The all-metal housing is heavily shielded, which pays off in home studios with computers, monitors and power supplies nearby.

Recommended use spans recording studio and home studio work: vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar cabs, orchestral strings, piano, woodwinds and brass. The included Isolation Pack with shockmount and pop filter, plus thread adapter, gets you mounted and tracking on day one.
