Product Description

The sE7 is a compact back-electret condenser built around a 1/2" capsule, made for the jobs a pencil mic gets asked to do every day: acoustic guitar, piano, hi-hats, drum overheads, percussion, choir and orchestral strings, in the studio or on stage.

An optimized acoustic design with discrete Class-A circuitry and a transformerless output keeps the sound clear and natural across the full 20 Hz to 20 kHz range, with no artificial lift or dip to work around later. Extremely low-noise components hold self-noise to 16 dB with a 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio, so quiet acoustic sources stay clean.

SPL handling is where this mic earns its place in a drum kit. The switchable -20 dB pad pushes max SPL to 156 dB, which covers a hard-hit hi-hat or snare at close range. A switchable 80 Hz low-cut filter removes stage rumble and bleed from a kick drum sitting nearby.

The body measures 23 mm across and 120 mm long and weighs 128 g, small enough to slide between cymbals and toms where a larger mic will not fit. The included mic clip with thread adapter and wind screen cover mounting and plosive control.

Features

    • Natural Across The Range

Optimized acoustics with discrete Class-A circuitry and a transformerless output keep response clear from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with nothing to correct later.

    • Quiet On Soft Sources

Self-noise of 16 dB and a 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio keep acoustic guitar, piano and choir takes free of hiss at working gain levels.

    • Close-Range Drum Duty

The switchable -20 dB pad raises max SPL to 156 dB, so a hard-hit hi-hat or snare stays clean with the mic right on top of it.

    • Fits Tight Spaces

A 23 mm by 120 mm body weighing 128 g slides between cymbals and toms in positions a large-diaphragm mic simply cannot reach.

    • Cut Rumble At The Source

The switchable 80 Hz low-cut filter removes stage rumble and kick bleed before it hits your preamp, keeping overhead tracks tidy.
