sE7 sideFire Pair

This pair of sE7 sideFire condensers gives you two side-firing pencil mics, which is exactly what you want when both positions are cramped: hi-hat and ride inside a kit, a stereo pair beneath a piano lid, or close pairs on cabinets and percussion.

Rotating the capsule 90 degrees means the body no longer has to point at the source, so each mic fits into positions where an end-firing pencil condenser cannot be aimed properly. Everything behind the capsule matches the standard sE7: a 1/2" back-electret condenser element with optimized acoustics, discrete Class-A circuitry and a transformerless output, holding clear, natural response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

Ultra low-noise components keep self-noise at 16 dB with a 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio on both channels. Switchable -20 dB pads raise max SPL to 156 dB per mic for close work on loud sources, and switchable 80 Hz low-cut filters strip stage rumble and kick bleed before the preamp.

Each body measures 23 mm across and 130 mm long at 163 g. Recommended for acoustic guitar, choir, orchestral strings, piano, woodwinds, drums, percussion and overheads. Mic clips with thread adapters and wind screens are included for both mics.
