V BEAT

The V BEAT is a dynamic microphone made specifically for snare and tom duty, on stage or in the studio. It carries the same high-grade sonic performance as the V7 X dynamic, packed into a low-profile body that stays out of a drummer's way and out of the sightlines.

A specialized supercardioid aluminum voice coil delivers detailed, natural sound with strong off-axis rejection, which is the whole battle when miking a kit. Hi-hat bleed into the snare mic and cymbal wash across the toms drop away, so each drum arrives with definition you can actually mix. Frequency response runs 30 Hz to 19 kHz, covering floor tom weight and stick attack alike.

A patented integrated capsule suspension isolates the element from shell and rim vibration, cutting the mechanical noise that muddies close drum tracks. The all-metal housing and spring steel grille take direct stick hits without denting out of shape, and the gold-plated XLR connector keeps contact clean over years of load-ins.

At 347 g and 110 mm long with a 61 mm diameter, it stays compact around a crowded kit, and the included knurled nut opens it up to third-party mounting hardware. A thread adapter, zipper pouch and spare black internal windscreen are also included.
