V3

The V3 is a handheld dynamic microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern, built as a working stage mic for vocals and close-miked sources alike. It comes from a company whose studio microphones and Reflexion Filters have spent years on touring rigs, and the V3 carries that build standard into a road mic.

The cardioid capsule is custom developed for a natural sound on any voice, running 50 Hz to 16 kHz with 2.5 mV/Pa sensitivity and a 600 ohm output. That response keeps a vocal present without an exaggerated top end, so you spend less time carving EQ during soundcheck.

Housing is all metal with no plastic parts, which matters when a mic gets dropped, packed tight, or handed between five bands in a night. A patented integrated shockmount decouples the capsule from the body, cutting handling noise, cable thumps, and stage rumble that would otherwise arrive as low-frequency mud. Proven neodymium magnets and tight production tolerances keep sensitivity consistent from unit to unit, which is worth knowing when you buy several for a multi-vocal setup.

Practical placements go well past lead vocals: an electric guitar cab, brass, snare, toms, percussion, and overheads all work with the same mic. At 295 g and 181 mm long it balances comfortably in the hand for a full set.
