Product Description

The V7 PTT is a talkback version of the V7, a handheld dynamic microphone with a supercardioid pickup pattern and a virtually noiseless push-to-talk button. It gives you the same open, clear V7 sound with the one control a talkback position actually needs.

Push-to-talk solves the problem of a live talkback mic that nobody remembered to mute. The channel is open only while your thumb is down, which keeps console chatter, coffee cups, and side conversations out of in-ear mixes and the monitor wedges. The button itself is virtually noiseless, so there is no click landing in a performer's ears every time you speak.

The supercardioid capsule rejects sound from the sides and rear, giving high gain before feedback at a front-of-house or monitor position that sits inside the PA coverage. A 40 Hz to 19 kHz range at 2.0 mV/Pa keeps talkback intelligible over a loud mix rather than muddy.

A mic cradle ships in the box along with thread adapters in 5/8 to 1/4 in. and 5/8 to 3/8 in., plus locking nuts in 1/4, 3/8, and 5/8 in. That covers mounting on console gooseneck arms, desk stands, and studio booms without a trip to the hardware bin.

Housing is all metal with a beveled spring steel grille. Built for live sound engineers, monitor techs, stage crews, broadcast control rooms, studio control room talkback, and general paging.

Features

    • No More Live Talkback Mics

The channel opens only while the button is held, so console chatter and side conversations never reach the in-ears or the wedges by accident.

    • Silent Switching

The push-to-talk button is virtually noiseless, so performers do not get a click in their ears each time you press to speak mid-song.

    • Cuts Through A Loud Mix

A 40 Hz to 19 kHz range at 2.0 mV/Pa with supercardioid rejection keeps talkback intelligible from a position sitting inside PA coverage.

    • Mounts Anywhere

A cradle plus 5/8 to 1/4 and 5/8 to 3/8 in. adapters and three locking nuts fit console arms, desk stands, and studio booms straight away.

    • Same V7 Sound

The capsule matches the standard V7, so a talkback position sounds consistent with the vocal mics already in your rig.
