Mini Stagebox 16R

The Soundcraft Mini Stagebox 16R moves your input and output connections to the stage and carries audio back to the console over a single MADI link. Sixteen analog inputs and eight line outputs form a 16 x 8 matrix, enough for a full band plus monitor and utility sends without running a multicore snake to front of house.

Connection is direct: the unit links to Soundcraft Si Expression, Si Compact, Si Performer, Si Series, and Vi Series consoles through a MADI card in the console option slot. Both the stagebox card and the matching Si console card ship included, with the stagebox card already installed, so an Si-based system is ready to run out of the box. Vi console MADI cards are sold separately.

An integral power supply keeps the 16R self-contained. There is no external adapter to mount or misplace, and the 2U chassis sits stage-side or in a rack at the amp world. The Mini Stagebox range covers systems that need dependable stage connectivity without the modularity and channel count of the larger Compact and Vi Stageboxes.

The 16R is part of the ViSi Connect family of interface options for Soundcraft mixing consoles, which also includes MADI, AES, and CobraNet option cards. That shared platform makes it practical to expand or reconfigure a system later as an install or touring rig grows.

Typical uses include houses of worship with a fixed stage box and a console in a booth, theaters where cable runs are long, small to mid-size touring rigs, and corporate AV setups where a short analog run to the source matters.
