Ui12

The Soundcraft Ui12 is a 12-input digital mixer with no physical control surface. You mix from a browser on a tablet, phone, laptop, or desktop, and up to 10 devices can connect at once, so a front-of-house engineer and musicians on stage each work their own view. Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet run at the same time, and no app install is needed on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS, or Linux.

Inputs cover four XLR combo mic/line channels, four XLR mic inputs, two Hi-Z channels for guitar or bass, and a stereo RCA line pair. Mic gain and phantom power are fully recallable and remote-controlled, so gain structure comes back exactly as saved. Every input channel has 4-band parametric EQ, a high-pass filter, compressor, de-esser, and noise gate.

Outputs get 31-band graphic EQ, noise gate, and compressor, with a real-time analyzer on inputs and outputs to show what the room is doing. Two balanced XLR aux outputs feed monitors or a recording rig, two 1/4" headphone outputs have their own level control, and balanced stereo XLR plus 1/4" main outputs connect to the PA.

Three dedicated buses run Lexicon reverb, delay, and chorus. HARMAN processing from dbx and DigiTech is built in, including dbx AFS2 feedback suppression and amp modeling for guitar players working at low stage volume.

Show and snapshot recall with per-channel safes gets a repeat setup running in seconds, and security lockout limits device access to specific functions and mixes, which matters when volunteers or band members hold a tablet. A 2-channel USB player covers MP3, WAV, and AIFF playback and recording, and the rugged chassis is made to sit on a floor at a gig. Subgroups, mute groups, and view groups keep larger setups organized.
