AF.653

The AF.653 is a 6.5-inch 3-way coaxial speaker pair built to fix the weakest link in most upgraded systems: the mids and highs. Each speaker handles 50W RMS and 150W peak, so the pair takes 100W RMS and 300W peak from a factory radio or an aftermarket amplifier. An injection molded polypropylene cone with a treated woven cloth surround holds its shape at volume and stands up to the heat and humidity inside a door panel. A 1-inch voice coil wound on an aluminum former moves heat away from the motor during long listening sessions. The 3-way layout splits the work three ways: the cone covers bass and lower mids, a 2-inch balanced dome Mylar midrange carries vocals, and a 1-inch balanced dome Mylar tweeter handles detail at the top end. System impedance is 4 ohms, which matches factory wiring and standard amplifier channels. The 1.75-inch mounting depth clears window mechanisms in doors and fits shallow rear deck openings where deeper speakers do not fit. Quick disconnect terminals cut wiring time, and every model ships in pairs so the left and right side arrive together. The AF.653 sits in the Arachnid series, which runs from shallow 4-inch 2-way coaxials up to 6x9 4-way models, so a full front-and-rear replacement can stay consistent across the vehicle.
