SA-10 V.3 D2

The SA-10 V.3 is the current generation of the SA 10-inch, rated 1500W RMS and 3000W peak. It keeps the 2.75-inch coil diameter of the V.2 and adds 5mm of coil length, taking linear excursion to 22mm. Taller cones and wider spiders improve linearity and coil stability, and the spider packs were optimized with full 3D FEA rather than trial and error.

The motor runs two shorting rings: a magnet ID Faraday ring and a pole cap Faraday ring, both working to reduce distortion and keep response even across the acoustic band. In this generation the Faraday ring is locked in place by the T-yoke rather than relying on adhesive alone. Venting was reworked as well, with a solid pole piece from the back and channeled pole inside, borrowed from the larger U V.2 platform.

An aluminum 2.75-inch coil former, high-temperature copper wire, a multi-layer spider, and doubled-up XL tinsel leads handle heat and mechanical load. A competition-grade paper cone, strong foam surround, and custom-tooled aluminum frame complete it. Past the 22mm of linear travel, the mechanical limit is 41mm one-way before coil bottom.

Dual 2-ohm coils wire to 1 ohm or 4 ohm. Target 1.0 cu ft ported with 15 sq in of port tuned to 35 Hz, or 0.5 cu ft sealed. Allow 8.11 inches of depth behind a 9.5-inch cutout.
