SA-6.5CS v.3

The SA-6.5CS v.3 is a 6.5-inch component set rated at 125W per side, built to bring the SA name to front-stage sound. The midrange starts with a cast aluminum basket instead of the stamped steel used in most speakers at this size, so the motor and cone stay aligned under hard playback. A magnet ID shorting ring in the midrange motor lowers distortion, and a compliant rubber surround keeps edge resonances in check for a clean, detailed midrange.

The motor was FEA optimized in-house for 6mm of one-way linear excursion, thanks to a carefully designed magnetic circuit and extended pole piece. Thermal handling was part of the design, not an afterthought: the midrange uses a vented magnetic gap and a vented voice coil collar to keep heat off the coil during long, loud sessions.

The tweeter is a silk dome in a machined aluminum housing, tuned through repeated testing of gap, dome material, lens, and chamber damping. The result matches the character of the midrange rather than adding artificial sparkle on top of it.

Each side includes a passive crossover with quality air core inductors and Mylar capacitors, plus adjustable tweeter level so you can set the top end to taste after the speakers are in the doors. That flexibility matters in a car, where a windshield rake or an off-axis door location changes what reaches your ears.

Mounting depth is 2.87 inches with a 5.63-inch cutout, so most factory door and kick panel locations work.
