Product Description
SALT stands for Sundown Audio Low-Voltage Technology. The rating is tested at 12.8V with less than 1 percent THD, so the published output reflects a real electrical system rather than a bench at 14V. Operating range is 9V to 15.5V, efficiency is above 90 percent, and the recommended fuse rating is 600A, which tells you what the electrical system needs to support.
Filters are steep and competition oriented: a 24dB variable subsonic filter from 10 Hz to 50 Hz and a 24dB variable low pass filter from 35 Hz to 250 Hz. Variable bass boost at 45 Hz adds up to 9 dB, and phase shift control spans 0 to 180 degrees for timing the bass to the cabin. Frequency response runs 10 Hz to 250 Hz, signal to noise ratio is above 90 dB, and damping factor is above 400.
Onboard indicators cover power, clipping, and protection, with thermal, voltage, speaker short, and DC-offset protection circuitry behind them. The included wired remote displays voltage, temperature, and clipping so you can track the system while it runs hard.
Dimensions are 26.78 by 10.08 by 2.96 inches.
Features
-
Output For SPL Builds
With 6000W at 1 ohm and 12,000W available when strapped, this monoblock supports multi-sub walls and competition systems from one platform.
-
Full Power At Real Voltage
Tested at 12.8V with under 1 percent THD, the SALT-6 reaches its rating on a working electrical system rather than a 14V bench.
-
Competition-Style Filtering
The 24dB subsonic and low pass filters cut twice as steeply as 12dB designs, holding output inside the range your enclosure was built for.
-
Tight Cone Control
A damping factor above 400 and efficiency above 90 percent keep woofer motion controlled while limiting the current your alternator has to supply.
-
Monitor Under Load
The included wired remote displays voltage, temperature, and clipping in real time, so problems surface before they turn into damage.
