SFB-1000D V2

The SFB-1000D V2 is a full-bridge monoblock that puts 1000W at 1 ohm into a chassis measuring 7.25 by 5.75 by 2.50 inches. Output is 850W at 2 ohms and 500W at 4 ohms, so the power drop across impedances is smaller than most Class D monoblocks.

SFB stands for Sundown Full Bridge, the Brazilian-style design that fits high power into a small footprint. What separates it from a typical sub amp is bandwidth: the low pass filter reaches 20 kHz and the high pass filter starts at 15 Hz, so this amp can run subwoofers, midbass, or a full-range speaker array. That makes it a common pick for P.A. and pro-audio style builds along with car subwoofer duty.

Controls include a variable 12dB low pass filter from 80 Hz to 20 kHz, a variable 12dB high pass filter from 15 Hz to 1 kHz, and variable 12dB bass boost at 50 Hz. Input sensitivity is 5V max and signal to noise ratio is 100 dB, which keeps the noise floor low for an amp in this class.

Power, protection, and clipping indicators are on board, backed by thermal, voltage, speaker short, and DC-offset protection circuitry. The wired remote control includes a clipping indicator.

Working voltage is 10.5V to 15.5V with a 100A recommended fuse. If you want a lot of power per dollar and per cubic inch, this is the SFB argument in its simplest form.
