The 512-BBA is an adjustable microphone boom arm that brings your mic to your voice and away from the noise your desk makes. Typing, mouse clicks, and fan rumble travel straight through a desktop stand. An arm clamped at the edge of the desk and positioned close to your mouth gives you a stronger signal and less of everything else.

A hidden, high-tension spring hinge does the holding. Once you set the arm, it stays in place with no extra tightening, and adjustments happen silently, so you can reposition mid-recording or mid-stream without a squeak on the track. Lightweight steel construction supports microphones from 1 to 3 lb including a shock mount, which covers most professional recording and broadcast mics.

Reach is 31.5 in horizontally and 32 in vertically, with 360 degrees of arm rotation and a dual-axis swivel at the mic end. That range covers an arm stretched over a monitor, tucked in beside a keyboard, or extended across a table for a second person. The extra-wide metal c-clamp mounts to any surface up to 2 in thick and includes an anti-scratch pad so it will not mark your desk.

Both thread adapters are included, so the arm mounts to virtually any mic or shock mount out of the box, and five velcro wraps keep the cable routed along the arm rather than dangling. When you are off the air, the arm folds down flat for compact storage.

It suits podcasting, streaming, voiceover, and home studio tracking where mic position changes often and desk space is limited.
