Product Description

Skylight is an XLR studio condenser microphone built for voices. A large 34mm gold-plated condenser capsule sits at the center, tuned with warm low end, natural midrange, and a 5k high-end boost that helps speech and vocals sit forward in a mix with little corrective EQ. Frequency response runs 20Hz to 20kHz, and a 144dB max SPL means loud sources and close-in delivery will not overload it.

The fixed cardioid pattern picks up what is directly in front of the mic and rejects sound arriving from the sides and rear. In an untreated room, that is the difference between a usable take and a recording full of reflections, keyboard noise, and street traffic. Premium components and circuit designs drawn from elite microphones keep the noise floor low, so quiet passages stay quiet.

Two accessories come in the box and both do real work. The custom-fitted metal mesh pop filter tames plosives from "ppp", "fff", and "sss" sounds at the source. The low-profile shockmount isolates the capsule from desk thumps, footsteps, and low-frequency rumble, and it stays compact enough to keep the mic in frame on camera. A carry bag protects the mic between locations.

Skylight suits podcast recording, streaming, voiceover, and tracking lead and backing vocals. The standard XLR connection works with any audio interface or mixer that supplies phantom power, so it fits a setup you already own and still rewards a better preamp later.

512 Audio is built on the professional legacy of Warm Audio in Austin, TX, with gear made for creators who have something to say.

Features

    • Voice-Tuned Sound

Warm lows, natural midrange, and a 5k high-end boost let speech and vocals sit forward in a mix with little corrective EQ afterward.

    • Quieter Rooms Without Treatment

The fixed cardioid pattern captures what is in front of the capsule and rejects reflections, keyboard noise, and traffic arriving from the sides and rear.

    • Handles Loud Sources

A 144dB max SPL and a low noise floor mean close-in speech and belted vocal takes stay clean instead of breaking up.

    • Plosives Handled In The Box

A custom-fitted metal mesh pop filter mounts directly to the mic and scatters air from hard consonants before it reaches the capsule.

    • Isolated From Desk Noise

The low-profile shockmount blocks vibration from typing, footsteps, and desk bumps while staying compact enough to keep the mic on camera.
