500

Engine bay temperatures work against battery performance, and AGM batteries feel it more than most. The 500 heat wrap is a protective sleeve that goes around the battery case and puts a thermal barrier between the cells and the heat radiating off the engine, headers, and turbo plumbing. Less heat soak at the battery means more consistent voltage on hot days and less thermal stress over the life of the battery, which matters whether the battery is cranking a high-compression motor or feeding a big amplifier rack. The 500 is a one-size-fits-all wrap and works with every XS Power battery model, so it fits a compact power cell under a seat, a Group 34 in the engine bay, or a Group 31 in a truck. It is a straightforward add-on during an install: wrap the battery before you set it in the tray or hold-down and torque the terminals. Good candidates include summer-climate builds, engine bays that run hot after turbo or supercharger work, tightly packed installs where the battery sits close to a heat source, and any competition vehicle that idles in staging lanes with no airflow under the hood.
