The 577 is a high grade billet aluminum hold down kit for the D2400 AGM battery, and it ships as a complete kit with both the mount and the plate. The mount locates the battery and the plate clamps it from above, so the D2400 stays put through acceleration, hard cornering, washboard roads, and trail impacts. That matters more than it sounds: a battery that walks around in its tray puts stress on the terminals and cable ends, and a loose 40-pound AGM battery in a trunk or bed is a real hazard. Billet aluminum is machined from solid stock, so the pieces stay dimensionally stable under clamping load instead of flexing like thin bent steel. Aluminum also keeps weight off the vehicle compared to a steel hold down, which is worth something in a race or SPL build where you are already carrying batteries and amplifiers.
