XMAX 22

The XS Power XMAX 22 is a 12V lithium iron phosphate battery for car audio systems where space is tight and current demand is high. It delivers up to 5,000W of burst power for SPL runs, 2,500W continuous on music, and 2,050 max amps, all from a 7.8 lb battery in a Group U1R housing.

What sets LFP chemistry apart here is voltage stability. The XMAX 22 holds voltage under load with minimal sag, so high-output amplifiers see consistent rail voltage and produce consistent output. Fast charge and discharge performance means it refills quickly between burps and stays composed through long demo sessions.

The XMAX 22 is designed as a supplemental battery, not a replacement for your starting battery. The best pairing is alongside other xMAX batteries, which adds capacity without mixing chemistries. It can be run with AGM batteries, though the recommendation is to isolate the banks with a battery isolator and only pair it with AGM batteries less than one year old. Charging requires a lithium specific charger, and the battery is not rated for under-hood or marine use.

With 22.5 amp hours in a U1R footprint, it fits builds where a larger battery simply will not go: trunk racks behind a false floor, wall builds, competition vehicles counting every pound, and daily systems that want lithium behavior without a full lithium conversion. A four year warranty covers it.
