Product Description
The XSP310 controls one alternator at a time and operates from 10 to 20 volts. Dip switches set the working range: the 12V setting runs from roughly 14.2 volts, depending on the alternator, up to a 15.2 volt programmed limit, and the 14V and 16V setting runs from roughly 14.2 volts up to a 19.5 volt programmed limit. That gives you real control over charging voltage instead of accepting whatever the factory regulator delivers.
The XSP312 harness handles the connection side for GM CS series alternators from 1986 to 1997, a range that covers a large share of GM trucks, vans, and cars from that era. Those are common platforms for high-power audio builds and hot rod electrical upgrades, which is exactly where a controlled charging voltage pays off.
Use the kit to charge a 16V competition bank properly, to hold voltage up in a heavy 12V system that sags at idle, or to keep output consistent in a racing or dyno application. One kit, one alternator, one clear path to the charging voltage your build needs.
Features
-
Module And Harness Together
The kit pairs the XSP310 with the XSP312 GM CS harness, so the connector and controller are matched before you open the hood.
-
Direct GM CS Fitment
The included harness covers GM CS series alternators from 1986 to 1997, a range spanning a large share of GM trucks, vans, and cars.
-
Charging Voltage On Your Terms
Dip switch settings let you run a 12V system up to 15.2 volts or a 14V and 16V system up to 19.5 volts.
-
Wide Operating Range
A 10 to 20 volt operating range keeps the module working through cranking dips and high-output charging without dropping offline mid-session.
-
Made For High Power Builds
Controlled alternator output helps a heavy audio system recover between hits and lets a 16V competition bank charge the way it should.
