Product Description

The XS Power XSP312 is the wiring harness that connects an XSP310 Voltage Control Module to GM CS series alternators used from 1986 to 1997. It handles the application-specific side of a voltage control install and is sold on its own so the harness matches the alternator actually bolted to your engine.

CS series alternators ran across GM trucks, vans, SUVs, and cars through the late 1980s and 1990s, which makes them one of the most common starting points for a high-power electrical upgrade. With the XSP312 in place, the XSP310 can set charging voltage for a 12V, 14V, or 16V system instead of leaving output to the factory regulator.

Pick it up alongside an XSP310 when you are building a voltage control setup from scratch, or as a replacement when a harness has been damaged in a hot engine bay or lost in a parts swap. It is also what you need when moving an existing module from one vehicle to another with a CS series alternator.

Confirm the alternator series first. CS series covers 1986 to 1997 GM applications; earlier SI series alternators from 1969 to 1988 use the XSP311 harness. Getting the harness right is what keeps the wiring straightforward and the voltage control working the way it was designed to.

Features

    • Correct Harness For CS Alternators

Built specifically for GM CS series alternators from 1986 to 1997, so your XSP310 module connects the way the design intended.

    • Completes A Voltage Control Install

The XSP310 needs an application harness to reach the alternator, and this covers the CS series GM applications of that era.

    • Popular Platform Coverage

CS series alternators appeared across GM trucks, vans, SUVs, and cars through the late 1980s and 1990s, common bases for electrical upgrades.

    • Available On Its Own

Sold separately, so you can replace a damaged harness or move an existing XSP310 to another vehicle without buying a whole kit.

    • Check Series Before Ordering

CS series covers 1986 to 1997 applications, while earlier SI series alternators from 1969 to 1988 use the XSP311 harness.
