(6) Control 424LP + RCS180-6 6-Zone 70V Amp

This package puts six JBL Control 424LP low profile ceiling speakers into restaurants, bars, retail floors, and offices where there isn't much room above the tile, and it includes a Rockville RCS180-6 180W 6-zone amplifier at no extra cost, so the system is ready to wire on day one. The enclosure needs just 3.9" from the bottom of the ceiling tile to the top of the back can, clearing ductwork, beams, and tight plenums that rule out deeper speakers. Each unit is a two-way coaxial design with a 4" treated paper cone woofer and a 0.75" soft dome tweeter, and JBL's CRBI technology spreads sound across a consistent 130° conical pattern. That wide, even coverage cuts down on loud spots under each speaker and dead spots between them, so the same floor often needs fewer speakers. Response runs from 75 Hz to 18 kHz with 85 dB sensitivity and up to 103 dB of continuous output.

The built-in transformer taps at 30W, 15W, 7.5W, or 3.7W on 70V lines (30W, 15W, or 7.5W on 100V), and a 16-ohm direct input covers low impedance setups. Set all six speakers at the 15W tap and they draw 90W, leaving half the amp's power free for more speakers later. The RCS180-6 splits its output across six zones with separate volume knobs, plays from Bluetooth, USB, SD card, FM, optical, or two line inputs, and takes three mics with echo control and a chime for paging. It fits a standard 19" rack with removable ears. Captive dogears grip a wide range of ceiling thicknesses through an 8.8" cutout, tool-free terminal covers take cable from the top or side, and every speaker is UL 2043 listed for air handling spaces and IP33 rated. The white magnetic grilles are paintable.
