The AKG Ara C22-USB is a dual-mode USB condenser microphone built for podcasters, streamers, gamers, and musicians who need clean sound straight from a desktop. It records at up to 24-bit, 96kHz resolution, giving speech and music the clarity to hold up in a finished mix or a live stream. Two selectable pickup patterns cover different recording situations: choose the directional Front (cardioid) pattern to focus on a single voice while rejecting sound from other directions, or switch to Front + Back (omni) to capture multiple speakers or a small group in the room. Setup is plug-and-play simple over USB-C on Mac, Windows, and game consoles, with an included base stand for desktop use or the option to mount on a boom arm or standard mic stand. Onboard controls include pattern selection, a mute button with LED indicator, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for latency-free monitoring while you record.
