C520 Head-Worn Condenser Microphone

The AKG C520 is a head-worn condenser microphone built to free performers' hands while delivering clear, consistent vocal sound. It's designed for front men, singing keyboardists, drummers, guitarists, and dancing performers who need reliable hands-free audio pickup without holding a handheld mic or working around a stationary stand.

A cardioid polar pattern rejects unwanted ambient noise from the sides and rear, keeping focus on the performer's voice even on a loud stage. The condenser capsule sits on a flexible shock mount that cuts body noise transmitted through the headband, so movement and dancing don't translate into thumps or handling noise in the mix. A moisture shield keeps perspiration from reaching the transducer element, protecting the microphone during high-energy performances and workouts.

The lightweight, adjustable headband is built for comfort over long sets, and the microphone arm mounts on either the left or right side of the headband to suit the performer's preference. It connects through a standard female XLR connector with a 3-meter (10ft) cable, giving performers room to move across a stage without running out of cable length.
