Drum Set Session I Microphone Kit

The AKG Drum Set Session I is a 7-piece drum microphone kit built to mic a complete drum set right out of the case. It pairs one P2 bass drum microphone, two P17 overhead condensers, and four P4 microphones for toms and snare, plus an H440 adapter plate and stand adapter to mount everything quickly on a kit.

All seven microphones come from the Perception Live series and share a durable metal casing, a rugged spring steel grille, a scratch-resistant finish, and high maximum SPL handling, so they hold up to close mic'ing loud drums night after night. The five dynamic mics and two condenser overheads are matched to work together, giving a balanced starting point across kick, toms, snare, and cymbals without hunting for separate mics from different lines.

Beyond a standard drum set, the individual mics in the kit also suit percussion, guitar and bass amp cabinets, brass, and woodwinds, making the kit a practical option for a studio building out its first mic locker. A durable aluminum carrying case holds all seven microphones, clamps, and adapters between sessions, so a touring or gigging drummer can pack up and move the whole rig in one case.
