KTA-30MW

The Alpine KTA-30MW is a compact mono amplifier that adds subwoofer power to open-cab vehicles where a full-size amp will not fit. It measures 9-3/16" wide, 1-5/8" tall, and 3-3/4" deep, about half the size of Alpine's smallest traditional amplifiers, so it mounts under a side-by-side dash, inside a glove compartment, or in a motorcycle saddlebag.

Output is rated at 300W RMS x 1 into 2 or 4 ohms, with up to 600W peak from Alpine's Dynamic Peak Power (D.P.P.) circuit. D.P.P. adjusts gain automatically as the music changes and supplies up to double the power during short rhythmic peaks like snare hits, trumpets, or high-hat cymbals, then pulls back down to stay efficient. It also keeps the amplifier from clipping the signal during those passages.

An IP66 rating covers dust ingress and high-pressure water spray, so the KTA-30MW works in exposed installations: side-by-sides, boats, open-top vehicles, and motorcycles. The chassis is rugged and the waterproof OEM-grade Tyco 26-pin connector ships with a pigtail wire harness.

The amplifier connects to either an aftermarket head unit or the factory radio. Selectable speaker-level and RCA inputs cover a high range of 0.5-10V and a low range of 0.2-4V, and 2-channel or 4-channel input is selectable. A variable low-pass filter tunes from 50Hz to 400Hz at -24dB per octave, and variable input gain matches the amp to the source. Signal-to-noise measures 83dB referenced to 1W into 4 ohms, with THD+N at or below 0.1%.

Typical setups include Polaris RZR and other UTVs, ATVs, golf carts, boats, and open-top vehicles that need real bass output without giving up storage space.
